frogwater Privacy Policy

for the frog inside.

Short version: frogwater does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. Everything you log lives only on your iPhone. There are no accounts, no analytics, no third-party services, and no ads. The app does not connect to the internet at all.

What data we collect

None. We do not collect any personal data, usage data, device identifiers, location, contacts, photos, or analytics events.

What data the app stores

The app stores the following only on your device, using Apple's standard SwiftData (local database) and UserDefaults APIs:

Your water-intake entries (amount in fluid ounces, timestamp)
Your daily goal setting (in ounces)
Hop! mini-game state (high score, play credits, progress toward next credit)

This data never leaves your iPhone. It is not backed up to any service controlled by us. (Your iPhone may include it in iCloud Backup if you have that enabled, but that is Apple's standard device backup mechanism and is governed by Apple's privacy policy — not ours.)

Third-party services

None. The app contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics frameworks, no advertising networks, no crash reporters, no remote logging.

Network access

The app does not request network access and does not make outgoing connections of any kind.

Children's privacy

The app is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content. Because we do not collect any data from anyone, no special handling for users under 13 is required.

Permissions

The app requests no special iOS permissions in this version. Future versions may request:

Apple Health (HealthKit) — to optionally write your logged water intake to the Health app. You would be prompted to authorize this; declining would not affect any other feature of the app. Data shared with Health would be governed by Apple's privacy policy and your Health settings.
Notifications — to send you optional reminders to drink water. You would be prompted to authorize this; declining would not affect any other feature.

Neither of these is active in version 1.0.

Data deletion

Because we don't have your data, there is nothing on our side to delete. To clear all data stored locally by the app, delete the app from your iPhone (Settings → General → iPhone Storage → frogwater → Delete App). Reinstalling will start you fresh.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change anything about how the app handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date below. Substantive changes may also be noted in the App Store "What's New" notes for that version.
